The nice staff and the well-kept residential area of the surroundings. The room was nice and big for three people. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
The loud noises (generator or similar) which unfortunately could be heard around the clock and were unbearable even through closed windows. Besides, the whole hotel (especially the bathroom) is in need of renovation!

Great food at breakfast as well as in the restaurant and at the bar! The hotel is located a little outside, but can be reached comfortably and cheaply by bus.

great access to parks and historical landmarks for city strolls
I enjoyed a lovely lunch in the sun after exploring nearby Ravenscraig Park, less than a 5-minute walk away. The Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery was another gem nearby, perfect for a dose of culture before heading back to my comfortable single room for the night. I appreciated the friendly staff, though the breakfast service could be improved.

Both my wife and I enjoyed our stay in the hotel our room had the windows open when we arrived and there was a terrible smell coming from somewhere so we had to shut them making it very stuffy.

Made adjustment for dirty room, desk clerk in morning was very helpful
Restaurant staff in evening was rude and inattentive, asked to see menu instead told to sit down outside restauarant. Booked and confirmation for non-smoking room none available upon arrival, given two rooms to choose from one reeked of smoke other one had ashes and gum in the ashtray. Gum on side of nightstand, disgusting.
